On October 16, the director of the Argentine Emergency Medical Care System (SAME), Alberto Crescenti, announced that famous singer Liam Payne, former member of the band One Direction, died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in the capital Buenos Aires.
A police source in Argentina also said they received a call from the hotel where the 31-year-old British singer-songwriter was staying about the incident. Liam Payne had been staying at the hotel alone since October 13.
According to Reuters, the accident took place at a hotel in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires.
Buenos Aires police said they initially received a report from the hotel about “an aggressive man, suspected of being drunk or under the influence of drugs”.
Hotel management confirmed hearing a loud noise in the grounds behind the building. When police arrived on the scene, they found a man had fallen from the balcony of his room.
