Steph Curry’s Warriors Contract: Salary, Duration and All the Details

One of the NBA’s highest paid players is Steph Curry. The Golden State Warriors are the only team the future Hall of Famer has ever played for, and they will look after him for the foreseeable future. Curry was the MVP in the 2022 Finals and has won four NBA championships. In 2015 and 2016, he also won back-to-back MVP honors.

The 35-year-old shown that he has not slowed down with age by winning the scoring title in 2016 and 2021. This season, he scored 29.4 points on average per game. In the league, that score ranked seventh best.

Curry agreed to a four-year, $215.3 million contract before the current season.

Curry earns $53.8 million on average yearly. In the 2025–2026 fiscal year, the last year of his contract, he will be paid $59.6 million. He will be a free agent following that season because he will be 37 years old.

His compensation for 2021–22 increased by 105% as a result of his extension. Throughout the course of the contract, Curry will be responsible for almost 38% of the team’s salary cap. His deal has a $51.9 million cap value.

Since the Warriors still had the Bird rights to Steph Curry, he decided to sign a maximum deal with them in 2017. Curry inked a five-year, $201 million contract with the Warriors. He received an average salary of $40.2 million, and the contract was completely guaranteed after signing.

Each time Curry was eligible for free agency, he made the decision to stay with his Warriors. He is one of the few NBA superstars of today who never switches teams or asks for a trade. Since reaching his All-Star level with Golden State, he hasn’t been even occasionally mentioned as being on the trade market.
