Liam Payne ‘s last post before his death
Liam Payne shared his final social media post with his girlfriend, just minutes before he died aged 31 after “falling off a balcony”.
According to TMZ , the former One Direction member fell from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina at around 5:00 p.m. on October 16 (local time).
The star’s last Snapchat post shows him happily posing with girlfriend Kate Cassidy. The previous snap was shared by Kate celebrating his 30th birthday last year.
Further posts from Liam Payne’s final moments show him enjoying a late breakfast in his hotel room. The singer revealed that he and his girlfriend “wake up at 1pm every day” and decided to choose Forrest Gump as their Halloween costume.
Other selfies were captioned: “Great day in Argentina”, “Nice to have some time off”…
TMZ sources say Payne and Kate flew to South America together, but she returned home on October 14 and he went to the hotel alone.
After receiving an emergency call from hotel staff. Police and rescuers arrived but were too late. Payne died after falling from the balcony. According to authorities, the fall resulted in serious injuries that could not be cured. Before the fall, hotel staff said he was mentally unstable. The investigation into the singer’s death is still ongoing.

Crowds gathered outside the CasaSur Palermo hotel, dozens of police and rescue teams cordoned off the area.
“The neighborhood was very chaotic… There were a lot of police, some fans came. It was sad,” said a worker near the hotel.
Violeta Antier, a One Direction fan, told Reuters she came forward immediately after receiving news of Payne’s death:
“I saw him two weeks ago at a Niall Horan (another One Direction member) concert. He seemed fine.” Earlier this month, Payne attended former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert in Buenos Aires.
He has previously spoken out about his mental health struggles and using alcohol to cope with the pressures of fame.
Many celebrities have sent their condolences to the late singer’s family.
Singer Charlie Puth shared a series of photos with Payne on Instagram Story: “I’m in shock. Liam was always so good to me. He was one of the first big artists I worked with. I can’t believe he’s gone… I’m really sad right now, may he rest in peace.”
“So saddened to hear of the passing of Liam Payne. Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace my friend,” Paris Hilton said.
